My name is Holly Monger and I graduated from Hollins University in 2017
with a degree in Biology. I am very passionate about the outdoors, the
environment, and encouraging the community to be empowered and
educated in outdoor spaces. My passion started when I was young.  My
parents would often take me hiking, fishing, and camping. I have continued
my growth in college as a trip leader for the Hollins Outdoor Program where
CPR and First Aid certifications and I’m working towards accomplishing a
Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification. In my free time I love to
backpack, climb, kayak, and travel. I have done two five day solo
backpacking trips where I completed the entire Blue Ridge Parkway section
of the Appalachian Trail. One day I wish to thru-hike the entire Appalachian

Hi there! My name is Payton Boyer. I am SO excited to get out and explore
with the kids. A little about me… I am 23 years old, and just recently moved
to RVA. I grew up in Purcellville, Virginia, about 3 hours north near Harpers
Ferry. I attended Radford University and studied Elementary Education,
Ferry. I attended Radford University and studied Elementary Education,
where I graduated in 2016 and went on to teach 5th grade for a year. I
spent this past fall of 2017 traveling & backpacking through South America!
I was a volunteer at a local school in Cusco, Peru for 1 month, then spent
the following 5 weeks camping + traveling through Peru, Chile, and
Argentina. I believe my combination of experience working with kids and
being outdoors will lead us to a great summer!
